As we are all one big family of course we’d like your feedback too! Let us know what you like about the new space, what you find easier and if you think we’ve done a great job. As you know we always try to please you and make it easy for you to get that artwork looking like a fabulously finished product.

A New Feature On The Website

Something new we worked on, is enabling you to order prints and the framing all in one go. So head to start your order and then select framed prints. Once you`ve selected the paper you want for the prints just carry on and make all your other choices right down to the framing size and colour.

National Photography Salon

The Whanganui Salon is the next national salon coming up in the New Zealand calendar, and it’s time to start getting images ready.
The Whanganui Salon is different to all the other salons with its overarching theme – Humanity and Earth – that encourages meaningful photography which may not fit in standard salon categories.
With great support from sponsors, prizes are awarded for the top images and the salon is delighted to be able to keep their entry fees at $5 per digital image. The three categories are Humanity and the Natural World, Living in a Changing World and, new in 2025, Made in New Zealand. The salon hopes the new Made in New Zealand category will generate considerable interest providing the opportunity to celebrate Aotearoa – the land, the people and all things we consider quintessentially “Kiwi”.

Look To The Skies

We have a Total Lunar Eclipse happening this Friday the 14th May and yes we will get to see it in Auckland.
An eclipse takes place when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and its shadow covers the Moon. The Moon can take on different shades of red, orange, or gold during a total lunar eclipse, depending on the conditions of the Earth’s atmosphere at the time of the eclipse. The amount of dust particles, water droplets, clouds, and mist can all have an effect on the shade of red. Volcanic ash and dust in the atmosphere can also lead to the Moon turning dark during an eclipse. Also if you look really hard right at the beginning and just before the end of totality, you may detect a light blue or turquoise band on the Moon’s face – this happens because the Earth’s ozone layer scatters red light and lets through some of the blue light that is otherwise filtered out by other layers of the atmosphere.

Are you keen to photograph this eclipse. Our friendly photopiller Raphael helps you out with a video of how.. He shares…

  • All the equipment you need to photograph the eclipse.
  • The camera settings you need.
  • Where to focus.
  • And how to photograph the total lunar eclipse step by step.
